Guy Street Park – shape the future of the Park, meet Monday 19 January

Friends of Guy Street Park is a group of local residents who have got together to give the park a bit of TLC. It was originally created in 1899, and its last refurbishment project was a quarter of a century ago. Funding is expected to be available to support the new refurbishment project from Southwark Council and the Snowsfields Quarter developer. Ideas have been developed to a certain point and the Friends group wants to see as many local people as possible at the kick-off meeting on Monday 19 January 7pm in the Bermondsey Village Hall, Leathermarket Gardens. We are short of green space here in the north of the borough, where so many people live in flats, and this is your chance to get involved in improving the park and looking after it ongoing. There will be chances to do some practical gardening at later stages of the project. If you are interested, do go along.
