02 Aug Glass Heaven at the Glassblowing Centre from Friday 2 August

A new exhibition, Glass Heaven, will be running at the London Glassblowing Centre from Friday 2 August. Since the studio’s humble beginnings, nearly half a century ago, Peter Layton has played a pivotal role in nurturing future generations of talented glass artists. Now for the first time, he is joined by Tim Rawlinson in transforming what has traditionally been Peter’s annual show into a joint showcase. The theme ‘Glass Heaven’ has inspired both artists to look skyward for their creations. Peter has reimagined several iconic series in creating his new Aurora collection. Tim has experimented with kaleidoscopic effects within his new blown forms and has created fabric-like effects in his vibrant new wall platters.
