20 Feb Fenning Street sinkhole update

Mace, the contractor at the Edge London bridge construction site, tells us that work has already begun to re-instate the road surface in Fenning Street. Weeks ago, a sinkhole suddenly appeared and the street was closed to vehicles and pedestrians. The hole has now been filled in and UK Power Networks has been working on site. This may possibly enable the opening of the pavement on the east side of Fenning Street. It will be several more weeks, at least, before the road is fully re-opened.
