30 Sep Blue Wall Gallery – third house exhibition Saturday 10 October
Bermondsey-based artist Anastasia Koro will be opening her home and studio, Blue Wall Gallery, for a third house exhibition on Saturday 10 October. One wall in each room, as well as the studio ceiling, is painted blue, turning the domestic interior into a space somewhere between a home, working studio and gallery. There will be new paintings and textile sculptures by Anastasia alongside work by Anna Maconochie. You may have seen Anastasia with her life size textile doll at the Bermondsey Street Festival. The informal house exhibitions began as a way of bringing art, friends and neighbours together outside a conventional gallery setting. Anastasia says: “This exhibition is particularly an invitation to people who live and work locally to come in, see the work and meet us.”
The house exhibition on Saturday 10 October will run from 4-10pm at Blue Wall Gallery, 1 Otterden Terrace, 10 Lynton Road, SE1 5QR. Free, drop in.
