20 Feb Building Board Brilliance – Training for nonprofit board members
Community Southwark is offering places on its second Building Board Brilliance training programme. This is for current and future trustees, unpaid directors, governors and board members in the community and voluntary sector (VCS) in Southwark. Community Southwark recognises how difficult it can be for someone to step into their first board role and this programme aims to help. The pilot in 2025 was a great success for all. During June and July 2026, a second programme will run with two streams of development:
For VCS groups in Southwark to learn all about how to design good governance processes, recruit good people to their board and support them to give their best.
For prospective board members to learn what it means to step into a governance role, how to do it well and get the most out of it and give the most back and how to find their perfect role
