07 May Calling Bermondsey arts and community groups – Tuesday 14 May!

C. Thorowgood Ltd was a large furniture business at 223 Southwark Park Road, just at the corner of the Blue market place, but stopped trading some years ago and now lies vacant. It’s a big space with all sorts of potential and local people are keen to see it come back into use for arts and community activities. One idea previously floated was for it to become a cinema. The Thorowgood Community Group will be holding a drop-in event at Community Southwark on the evening of Tuesday 14 May, at which local arts and community groups will be talking about how to revive and best use the vacant building.
