10 Jan Church service to bless the Thames

On Sunday 14 January 2024, after morning service at Southwark Cathedral there will be a procession to the middle of London Bridge to bless those who work on and look after the river Thames and those who enjoy it. Special blessings will also be said for those who have died in or near the river. The procession from Southwark Cathedral will be joined on London Bridge by a procession from St Magnus the Martyr church on the north bank for the blessing, which will be at around 12.30pm. This annual event is free to attend.
