Consultation on ex-Ugly Duck building, 47 Tanner Street

Some years ago the owner of the buildings at 47-49 Tanner Street, where Ugly Duck used to operate, secured planning permission for redevelopment of the site. The site has since been sold, and the new owner, Bywater Properties, is seeking amendments to the approved plans including reduced height from seven storeys by 7.5m and change of use from commercial to residential, in the form of co-living units. The old warehouse building is to be retained and repaired as part of the new scheme.

There will be two local consultations where you can find out more, both at the Fashion and Textile Museum, 83 Bermondsey Street SE1 3XF on:

  • Thursday 17 July 4-7pm
  • Saturday 19 July 11-2pm.

This consultation is being run on Bywater’s behalf by Kanda Consulting.
