17 Jul Dance Space Takeover at Ugly Duck – MAKING SH*T HAPPEN

On Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 July Chisenhale will stage a Dance Space Takeover at Ugly Duck. This will be a weekend of art, activism, dance and networking, beginning on Saturday 7-10pm, with an MSH Performance Party – no stage, no host, just great music, dancing. Unannounced performance interventions will emerge throughout the night, with a stunning lineup of dance artists circling queer & feminist performance, breakdance, vogueing, and activist action. It will celebrate the radical explosive work of the CDS Artist Community and grassroots dance sector. This will be followed on the Sunday by an MSH Community Fair – a series of conversations between artists about anti-oppressive practices and new modes of leadership along with stalls from 15 or so supportive groups.
