A new exhibition opens at the Eames Fine Art gallery on Thursday 13 November – Eduardo Paolozzi & The Art of Pop Collage. The show includes exciting maquettes, collages, and silkscreen prints by one of Britain’s most pioneering and influential postwar artists, and illustrates the continuing resonance of this visual language across generations of artists. Some are the actual collages used later for sikscreen prints. He had an enduring fascination with technology, popular culture, and the fragmented beauty of modern life, returning repeatedly to the motif of the head. Presented alongside are works by artists who share, extend, or reinterpret Paolozzi’s approach to collage into the digital age.
