24 Jan Enclosed lobby proposed for the Greenwood Theatre

King’s College London wants to build an extension to stop “vagrants” from “using drugs” and “sleeping” around the Greenwood Theatre. The theatre was built in 1975 with funds donated by a local businessman Sir James Greenwood and is used by the college for performances and lectures. It had a colourful uplift around ten years ago courtesy of a Team London Bridge project. The linear garden on the south side of the building is very well used and much appreciated but the college claims that the lobby around the corner has become a place for drug users and rough sleepers. They leave syringes and needles and other mess behind.
