Get a £5k grant to help you reduce waste – In June, high street businesses in Southwark will be able to apply for grants, of up to £5,000, to try out ideas to reduce waste and make better use of stuff. This will benefit the environment, and – by cutting costs and gaining customers – your business. > Join a business waste workshop on 26 June to help with a grant application

Health and life science businesses: apply for up to £5k – Sign up for a free 10-week programme for social enterprises working in or wanting to work in health and life sciences. Discover what it takes to hire an apprentice – Thinking about hiring an apprentice? Join London South Bank University’s (LSBU) free online session (20 June at 10am) which will help you make decisions about starting an apprenticeship programme. Free support if you take on a digital marketing apprentice – If you’re a small or medium-sized enterprise that needs to develop your digital marketing skills, an apprentice could help fill your skills gap. Heating engineers: learn how to install heat pumps with a £500 training grant – If you’re a heating engineer, you could get a discount of up to £500 towards the cost of heat pump training, plus support and advice when installing a heat pump for the first time.
