28 May Grounded – a new exhibition at Vitrine from Friday 31 May

On Friday 31 May, a new exhibition will open at Vitrine, Bermondsey Square, Grounded, by Sarah Bedford. This is the first solo exhibition by Sarah Bedford in London and is presented in collaboration with Mrs New York. The pictures are about inspiring hope in a dying natural world through the symbolic representation of floral hybrids. Sarah was a professional florist for many years as will be apparent from the floral wall-covering in the gallery. For this exhibition she has been inspired by with work of painter and botanist Cedric Morris and the 18th century floral prints of Robert Thornton.
