Help keep Bermondsey Street neighbourhood safe

Bermondsey Street’s Met Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Paul Durrant is keen to raise awareness of the local London Bridge and West Bermondsey Safer Neighbourhood Team. This is our local police team, working with our community to make the area as safe as possible from anti-social behaviour as well as crime. PCSO Paul points out that even if we are lucky enough to have no concerns right now, it is good to be alert to what is going on in our area and know what to do when something is wrong. An important way you can do that is join the Safer Neighbourhood Team’s community panel at their quarterly meetings. Local Police activity is reported there and discussed, and local priorities are agreed. Currently the priorities are: 1] Robbery/Weapons; 2] Shoplifting; 3] Drugs.

BermondseyStreet.London is represented at the meetings and other volunteers are welcome! If you would like to join in the discussions at the Safer Neighbourhood Team’s meetings, email paul.durrant@met.police.uk. You can also sign up to MET ENGAGE, a Met Police platform which provides posts and updates by email. sign up  here.
