06 Dec Ideas wanted for the future of the Bricklayers Arms
Southwark Council wants to improve The Bricklayers Arms and surrounding area. The Bricklayers Arms is the large roundabout at the junction of Old Kent Road and Tower Bridge Road. The aim is to build on the Old Kent Road Area Action Plan and develop an ambition for the area that will meet the needs of residents, businesses and visitors. This could include reconfiguring the transport network, creating more land for housing, repairing a historic stretch of high street and stitching the site back into its surrounding neighbourhoods. The current plans will be exhibited at FORMA Arts + Media 140 Great Dover Street, SE1 4GW on Wednesday 11 December 11am-7pm. At certain times there will be a focus on different aspects; 12–12.45pm Local business focus, 1–1.45pm Resident and community group focus, 5–5.45pm Local business focus, 6–6.45pm Resident and community group focus
