Michael Ibbison’s latest exhibition at Eames Fine Art, Zeitgeist, opens on Thursday 28 August. It creates a world where mathematical abstraction, radiant colour, and emotional resonance intertwine. The artist charts a journey through the dynamics of abstraction, allowing astonishing beauty to emerge when art and mathematics coalesce. He draws on the principles of the Bauhaus, embracing the unity of art, craft, and technology and has been inspired by the spectral harmonies of Joseph Albers, the spatial sophistication of Toshihiro Katayama, and the optical dynamism of Victor Vasarely. Together, the works make for a mesmerising exhibition.
