17 Oct New Interpretation Board in Leathermarket Gardens

You may have noticed a new Interpretation Board appearing this week in Leathermarket Gardens. BermondseyStreet.London hopes to secure funding for an Interpretation Board to be installed in 2025 at Christy’s Walk, which runs between Tanner Street Park and St Mary Magdalen Churchyard. Christy’s Walk is named after Christy’s the hat factory which occupied Newham’s Row and in the 19th century was the ‘largest hat manufactury in Europe’.
