The Colchester Auctioneer, Reeman Dansie’s 3 February auction will include a newly discovered 19th century watercolour entitled The Remains of Bermondsey Abbey. The catalogue description is Lot 1129 – Early 19th century English Naive School, watercolour of the remains of Bermondsey Abbey, a sign to one of the buildings for ‘William Mason, dealer in Corn, Hay and Straw’, 42cm x 60cm, in glazed frame.
