01 Nov News from Mace about St Thomas Street East

The latest news arrived this week from Mace, the construction contractor for the Chapter Living (student accommodation) and Edge (offices) sites on St Thomas Street. In particular at the Edge site, the excavation of the Level 4 basement has been completed. Screens are being installed for the concrete frame from the current Level 8 to the full Level 28. Soon the mega truss, from level 4 upwards on the north side will start to make a big visual impact. An additional crane will be installed around Christmas time. Work continues with Snowsfields school, volunteering and encouraging local people into jobs in the construction industry.
