03 Jan North West ward meeting Tuesday 14 January 2025

There will be a meeting at the Council Offices on Tuesday 14 January 2025 at 6pm for residents of wards in the north west of the borough, including our ward London Bridge & West Bermondsey. The agenda for the meeting includes presentations on the Councils’ budget and community safety. It will also be the opportunity to discuss the applications that have been made for Neighbourhood, Cleaner, Greener, Safer and Devolved Highways funds. BermondseyStreet.London has applied for CGS funding for the installation of an interpretation board about Christy’s Walk. This would replace the banners which we had put up at both ends of Christy’s Walk celebrating the history of Christy’s Hats in nearby Newham Row, the ‘largest hat manufactory in Europe’ in the 19th century. Our banners were removed early last year, we don’t know who by or why!
