23 Jan Pavement-widening in Bermondsey Street – still more to come

Conway have been at work on Bermondsey Street, widening pavements opposite the park a few months ago and currently at the traffic filter. Yet more pavements are to be widened further along the street towards the junction with Snowsfields in autumn 2025. The plan includes parking, cycling and other roadway markings as well as pavement buildout. At least one sign will need to be repositioned following pavement build out. BermondseyStreet.London is exploring the potential for getting street trees planted to soften the rather hard appearance of parts of the street. In the meantime, many of us will no doubt continue to walk in the roadway! Please do take care to avoid bicycles and scooters as well as the occasional motor vehicle.
