The leader of Southwark Council, James McCash, has written to residents asking for input to help the Council decide how to save £100m of cost. In parallel the Council is campaigning for fairer funding from the government, but needs to work out how best to meet the cost challenge if government does not help. The Council provides many services which support our daily lives, from looking after parks to personal care at home for seniors. Their request? ” Tell us what matters most to you – where you think money is spent well, where it could be spent better, and what must be protected.”
