07 Jun Andrew Marr and Gillian Ayres at Eames Gallery

Andrew Marr has admired Gillian Ayres’ work from afar for half a lifetime and now they are exhibiting their colourful work together at Eames Fine Art Gallery. Andrew Marr’s colourful paintings and drawings are a foil to Gillian Ayres’ woodcuts and carborundum etchings. She is particularly admired for demonstrating that abstract can be both intellectually sophisticated and deeply joyful, deceptively effortless and whimsical. Both convery emotion through rich, radiant colour combinations.
