From Thursday 23 July, Tower Bridge will be offering lower-priced entry tickets for visitors, at £15.80, and the special £1 ticket scheme for Southwark residents (with proof of ID and address with photo) continues. Family-friendly science activities will be helping to celebrate 50 years since the bridge lifts switched from steam-power to electricity. Activities include:
Light up postcards Tuesday 28 July
Go Fishing with static electricity Tuesday 4 August and Saturday 8 August
Tower Bridge traffic lights Tuesdays 11 and 18 August
Homopolar Motors Tuesday 25 August
Ask an Expert every Thursday from 23 July – 27 August, 1:15-2pm.
