A great programme of free activities and events will be taking place in March, in what is believed to be the first ever Bermondsey Literary Festival. The programme includes talks by crime historians Dr Angela Buckley and Sarah Bax Horton; Michael Holland on his unique book about Bermondsey postcards; a guided walk by Debra Gosling based on her book Down The Blue; poetry readings; open mic sessions; a visit to the Peek Frean Museum hosted by Gary Magold; a bookmaking workshop and activities for children.
