21 Sep Building Bygones 5: 139-147 Bermondsey Street

This week we have published number 5 in our Building Bygones series of short histories of local buildings. This time round the focus is on 139-147 Bermondsey Street, late Victorian warehouses now converted to offices, studios and residential. The site was famous for its historic buildings even in the 1880s. These have now gone to be replaced by this typical, handsome warehouse building in the 1890s.  Our Building Bygones paper is available to download  here.
