29 Oct Dark Skies: Why are they important?
Most of us know about air, water and land pollution, but what do you know about light pollution? It never really gets dark in Central London and it’s hard to see the stars at night. That’s light pollution. It can affect our health, make our streets less safe and damage wildlife. But it doesn’t have to be like this!
Join us on Wednesday 19 November 6.30-8.30pm to hear Dark Sky advocate Megan Eaves, who is passionate about reclaiming the night sky. After a talk about light pollution, we’ll take a stroll round the Bermondsey Street area to see the difference that good (and bad) public lighting can make. And find out what each one of us can do to make a difference, right now! Email hello@bermondseystreet.london for more information and to book a place.
