Local charity Trees for Bermondsey has told us about a free guided walk on Sunday 11 October, looking at trees in Bermondsey and Rotherhithe. The walk will be led by Paul Wood, street tree enthusiast. He is also the author of the book Tree Hunting which came out in 2025. Its subtitle is ‘There is a glorious tree around every corner, if you know where to look“. The walk has been organised by the Southwark Park Association 1869 and will take in Wilson Grove with its mature plane trees, King’s Stairs Gardens and more.
The walk will take place on Sunday 11 October starting at 1pm outside Bermondsey Station. No need to book.
