Update from Councillors

The latest news round-up from our three Councillors Emily Hickson, Sam Dalton and Sunil Chopra arrived this week:

  • Community Infrastructure Levy Funding – after a second meeting earlier in the year, Councillors will be finalising their funding decisions by end March.
  • New TRA – Councillors have filled a gap by establishing a new Tenants and Residents’ Association for the Harold, Swan Mead and Creasy estates which previously did not have one. The TRA is a route to raise issues and concerns with Councillors and officers.
  • Service charges – supporting scrutiny of high charges at New Tanner Way
  • Borough High Street Post Office planned closure – Councillors have organised a petition against this closure which now has 300 signatures
  • Work started last month to install the new zebra crossing on Long Lane, at the junction with Wild’s Rents after much pushing by local residents supported by Councillors.

You can contact Councillors at their Southwark Council emails eg sam.dalton@southwark.gov.uk
