09 Jul My Kind of Black at the Science Gallery from Wednesday 17 July

My Kind of Black is a celebration of self-expression and authenticity, championing young Black talent through film, rap and spoken word. The programme opens at the Science Gallery on Wednesday 17 July and is curated by The Spit Game UK. At its core are four films created by the collective during their 12-month Just Futures residency at the Science Gallery. The publicity goes on to say ‘The films explore racism in education, sexting and consent, the ethics of humour, and conspiracy theories. They offer a lens through which to experience the complexity of these issues from a young Black person’s perspective. Once you’ve watched the films and behind-the-scenes content, step inside the Spit Game Studio to give voice to your own kind of creativity.’
